Flow~Goa

This one's our newest launch and an extra special edition for us, because after seven editions of Flow in the mountains, this is our first time flowing by the ocean. And to be able to flow in Goa in the off-season is a feeling we cannot wait for you to experience. The waters help us get to our natural state of calmness. The workshops return us to our presence. And the locals teach us a thing or two about living a susegad life - the Goan philosophy of living unhurried, of flowing through life at our 1.0x.

when?

Flow~Goa is over the first long weekend of September, from 4-7th September.

where in goa?

Goa is way beyond what we've made of it, as the north and the south. We neither go to the north to party nor live in the south for peace. We'd be staying at a local Goan house right in the heart of the town. We'll spend a lot of time by the ocean, but also experience the dense palm forests, the untouched lakes, the mangroves that fill us with awe, the 100-year-old churches, and many, many rivers that hold us like our mother.

Flow is our format of curated, 3-day, self-explorative residencies, bringing our heart and soul at peace, by freeing them of these air-tight containers the society constantly tries to put them in.

We're not meant to be so rigid with ourselves and our surroundings, but the weight of life gets too much sometimes.

Flow is where you shed this weight, and come to terms with reality. The real reality is beautiful - all of us are one, and there's no pressure to run faster, or run at all.

It is an experience that connects you to yourself through:

- nature
- art and expression
- the power of community
- raw, authentic, and cultural stories

what is flow?

who is it for?

Flow~Goa is for folks who:

- crave real connections
- need some time off in raw, untouched nature
- want to travel within and know themselves better
- are fascinated by local Goan culture
- want to experience 3 days of no stress, no rush
- wish to express themselves and be who they are
- believe that simple joys are the most rewarding
- prioritize peace over hustle, especially during travels
- want to experience Goa beyond beaches and parties

4th September

Reach your homestay by noon, right in time for lunch. Soak in the energy of this tiny Goan home by the beach. Meet the curating team and get to know your fellows. Rest your heart and mind. Experience the introductory session on self-discovery, play games to bring your body to space.

Meet the ocean and say your hellos to the vast, open skies. Breathe and feel how tiny we all are. Sing your heart out with live music, groove a little or a lot. Retire for the night after a soulful dinner at a classic old Goan bar.

Day 1 is all about taking it light, coming to the pace of the village, and focusing on losing the stiffness our bodies carry from living in big, fast cities.

5th September

Start the day with an early breakfast. Head out for a beautiful drive and experience the real Goa. Just because we're in Goa, it doesn't mean we'll not take you hiking. Of course, we go for a forest hike/walk and indulge in sharing circles with the comfort and safety of home.

Catch the magic of sunset if the weather allows, or, more magically, gift ourselves the joy of drenching in the rain. Be back home in time for dinner, after a quiet 1.5-hour drive.

Day 2 is about connecting with your surroundings, being silent, and getting to know each other more deeply.

6th September

Open the day with a deep session around energy work. Express yourself through colours, strokes, words, and movement. Listen to your thoughts and give a voice/shape to your feelings. Connect with your soul, your inner light. Look into the eyes of strangers and feel like a human again.

After doing some real inner work, treat yourself to the traditional Goan thali for having surrendered to this beautiful flow of life. Absorb the ocean or let it absorb the whole of you, then sit back for a music and poetry jam, for our last night together.

Day 3 starts with looking inwards and going to the depths your soul carries, only to come back and feel too much love in your heart for yourself and all those around. This day is supremely emotional and a bit intense too. All of us have different takeaways and there's enough space for you to be just by yourself, if that's what your heart needs. Hugs are always available should you need one or many :)

what do we do at flow?

7th September

Usually, the art night lasts longer than we anticipate, because we want to hold on to this joy just for one more moment. So, this morning's breakfast/brunch is our last meal together, after which you can take your respective flights/buses.

To feel one with ourselves first, then one with nature, and finally, one with our fellows. We're here for an odd couple of years, while the mountains, the forests, the rivers, and the oceans have been here for a thousand billion of them, so it only makes sense to shed all this weight we're so used to carrying, and just live. Be as tender as our hearts can be. As open as a flower 🌼

intention

age

We're open to all ages, as long as you're open to healing, learning, and growing. So far, for flow, we've had people from 18 to 53. Folks in their early twenties who have the wisdom of a saint, and folks in their late forties/fifties freely running in the open fields. We really think that all of us, no matter our age, are children of this vast, vast universe, which is as old as time itself. So, no, you cannot be too young or too old for flow :)

circle size

The circle/group size we work with for Flow is intentionally intimate, and we take a maximum of 10 folks at once. This is to facilitate comfort in deeper healing sessions, and make real, one-to-one connections simpler.

Things like profession/career don't matter to us, and it's not a filter while curating the group. What matters is how aligned you are for an experience like this.

A quaint, comfortable, Goan home built with a lot of thought, in the heart of the town where mostly just the locals live. We stay in double/triple sharing spacious rooms for all 3 nights. Picture being hosted by a very loving local family, staying at a 2-min walk from the ocean, and feeling right at home.

stay

Simple, homecooked, locally-made meals super rich in love. Soul food that your body thanks you for. Most of these are traditional meals that the locals have in their daily lives, for you to have an authentic Goan experience. Two meals across the 3 days are kept open for you to choose whatever you like.

food

Wherever you're coming from and whether you're taking the flight/train/bus to Goa, please reach the Panjim bus stand on the morning of 4th September. We'll coordinate other pickups with you and connect you with the group so all of you can travel together to the homestay.

For returns, please book your tickets for 7th September post noon.

access

Consider this a monsoon experience. September is a mix of rain and shine, and makes Goa absolutely green and fresh. Expect pleasant showers with the possibility of clear skies here and there. Mist or sun, we don't let it affect our play and movement - just wear our sun caps/raincoats and head out.

We get this a lot: Will I be able to carry this pace into my life after flow?/Are 3 days enough to learn the language of 1.0x?

To that, we say - once you come, you'll realize that flow is never really just 3 or 4 days. It goes on and on, long after we've all returned home. Because flow is not an event. It's an experience that your body remembers. Once you let yourself experience this state of mind that frees your heart of so much weight, it's hard to go back to the shackles we so often build for ourselves.

are 3-4 days enough?

Please review these conditions carefully as they outline the mutual obligations and rights concerning your booking with 1.0x.

(a) we invest a lot of time and energy into getting to know the people who want to join our experiences, so residency tickets, once booked, are not refundable/transferable.

(b) flow is an exclusive, intimate, and curated experience and we are taking in only limited bookings. Your slot is confirmed only after you make the full payment.

(c) 1.0x reserves the right to make changes/modifications to the flow/plan of all our experiences, as necessary. While there is an itinerary in place and we'll mostly be holding onto it, sometimes not following the plan is the best plan. Remember, we're here to flow.

(d) in the unlikely event that we need to cancel a residency due to unforeseen circumstances/weather conditions, you'll be notified, and there'll be an option to receive the full refund, or transfer your reservation to another experience/residency, depending on whether you've chosen the shield or not while reserving your slot. The shield is for INR 999 (non-refundable), and gives you the option to receive full refund of the ticket cost, if the cancellation is from our end. In case you don't choose the shield and we have to call off the residency due to unforeseen circumstances, your reservation would be transferred to the next Flow of your choice.

(e) we understand and appreciate physical gestures of connection (handshakes, hugs, etc) but never at the cost of someone else's discomfort. You'll be asked to discontinue and leave, if your words, actions, or behaviour disrupt the safe and free-flowing space we're building.

By confirming your reservation, you agree that:

(a) You have read and understood these booking TnCs, along with any general information provided (including details found in sections such as "About", "Tickets", and "Experiences" on our website or in our promotional materials) and agree to abide by them.

(b) You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with adventure travel.

(c) You consent to our processing of personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and are authorized to disclose the personal details of everyone included in the booking to us, which may contain sensitive information like health conditions, disabilities, and dietary needs.

(d) You confirm that you're over 18 years of age and meet any age requirements specified for the booked experiences.

(e) You declare that you don't have any pre-existing medical condition or disability that may interfere with their active participation in the residency. If this is not the case, you agree to consult with us before making a reservation so we can determine the suitability of the planned travel arrangements.

(f) You understand that alcohol intake, substance/drug abuse, and the possession/peddling of any kind of drugs are strictly prohibited during the entire duration of the residency. You'll be asked to not join/ discontinue and leave, if found consuming/ found not in senses or under the influence of any drug. The payment in such a case stands non-refundable.

(g) You give 1.0x the consent and authority to click your pictures/ videos across the 3/4 days of Flow, and the same can be used for posting on social media, website, or any other form of media, and can also be used for marketing purposes in future.
